I Did It! The Love Language Challenge Recap!

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a GREAT week! Last month I blogged about participating in the 

Love Language challenge! It was 5 weeks of loving your mate in their love language. 

I had a great time showing my hubby love through words of affirmation! 

One of the challenges was to leave encouraging notes during the week. 

He saved them and put them in a folder labeled 'Encouragement'. Aww, I felt so special! lol 

This is a picture I snapped before he put them in his folder.

The final challenge was to get quotes from his friends and family about why they admire him and are proud of him. I sent some texts (and reminders lol) and a few facebook messages and got some great responses! 

I printed them on white paper, bought a few frames and black paper and created...

He LOVED it! He said he was humbled and in awe. 

He put it up on the wall where he can see it everyday! 

Can you say I was PROUD! Lol! Marriage is work, but it is worth it!

Now he says he has started the challenge so we will see! ;)

Wear Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness! I'm Rocking my Purple! Are You?

Happy Motivational Monday everyone!

Everyone knows Purple is my faaaaaaavorite color! :)

I am also a lover of supporting causes and guess what?? 

Today is Wear Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness! 

What is epilepsy? 

Epilepsy is a seizure disorder. 
Epilepsy is a condition of the brain that is characterized by recurrent seizures. Approximately one in ten people will experience at least one seizure during a lifetime.

I hope you are having a FANTASTIC week! I discovered after visiting the doctor that I have tennis elbow (boo) so I have been letting my arm rest a bit. But I am getting better in Jesus' name! I have added some more handmade inspirational jewelry to my site too! Yay!!

As mothers, fathers, wifes, husbands, we tend to others needs and forget our own. Did you know one of the greatest gifts you can give to others is to do what makes you happy? If you give your children everything the want and need but you are unhappy, they will see and feel this and feel a lack because you are lacking! So isn't it time to live the life you want? Anyone that knows me, knows I am all about you living your passion and purpose God has for you. After all, that is the reason we were placed here on earth! It's hard work, but hey that's life! God will give you strength so trust Him! I am!

I have come across a GREAT 30 Day Challenge which teaches you to become organized and reach YOUR goals in life! It is the 30 Day Challenge with Chalene Johnson! I am on Day 23 and LOVING it!! I have clearly defined my goals in life and create a to do list everyday. Yes, everyday! I have seen these concepts before, but the way Chalene expresses it is really making it STICK and making it a true habit and part of my life! It is SO motivating and encouraging! Each day you receive a video with instructions to realize and be accountable for reaching YOUR goals in life! It is absoluetly FREE and each exercise take only 5-10 minutes a day but make a HUGE difference in your life! Please join me, you won't regret it!

Inspirational Find: Proverbs Woman....31 to be Exact!

Happy Wonderful Wednesday!

Being a Proverbs 31 woman and wife has been on my mind A LOT lately. Which you can tell by my previous blog posts lol! I want to be the woman that God has placed me on this earth to become. I then saw this video below circulating around facebook and on tumblr. So I had to take a listen since I looooooove spoken word. The video is by 31status which aims to show young girls what a Proverbs 31 woman should be. I went to their website and I Love it!!! So inspirational and motivational! You should check it out...after viewing this video first of course. Lol. Enjoy!

Tasty Tuesday! Homemade Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies! Yum!

Happy Tasty Tuesday! 
I wanted to share a quick recipe for my 'famous' dark chocolate chip walnut cookies!!! :-)


I don't know about you but I Looooooooooove chocolate! And I REALLY love chocolate chip cookies! But they are so unhealthy! So......instead of buying them at the store, I took a recipe I found and altered it a bit...


What you will need:


1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks. At least 60% cocao.
1 tablespoon of Vanilla flavoring
1/2 cup Walnuts
1 Egg
1 Egg yolk  
1 1/2 cup brown sugar ( I substituted white sugar for  brown sugar)
2 cups wheat flour 
1 tablespoon Baking soda (I usually just sprinkle some in lol)
3/4 cup Butter (looking for a healthy substitute for this...)


Mix the dry ingredients and set aside.
Melt butter and mix with flavoring, egg, egg yolk, and brown sugar until creamy.
Mix everything together and sit in refrigerator for 30min + or overnight.

Preheat oven to 325 f.  Roll dough into small balls and place on pan lined with 

parchment paper an inch apart. 

Bake for 15-17 minutes and remove. Let cool for 10 minutes. You will have the yuuuuuuumiest cookies! My hubby loves them and you know that is a big plus! Lol!
