The Texas Black Expo! What Fun!

Hello beautiful people! 


I had the chance to attend the Texas Black Expo in Houston and had a great time! I didn't have a table but I went with my work boots on (not really lol) and lots of business cards and flyers to get my networking on! As vendors handed me their info, I handed them mine and several laughed! That's alright because I made some great connections! I also attended a natural hair panel about caring for your natural hair and really enjoyed myself! I love being around others who embrace and seek to learn more about living naturally!

Fro-Licious Friday! My sister graduated whoo hoo!

Hello hello there! How are you? I am greeeeeeat-ful!!! ;-)


My sister just graduated with her MBA!! Whoo hoo! So proud of her! I went to attend the festivities and took a few...well ALOT of pictures! Lol. My mom, both of my sisters, and I are natural now. Yeah! But she was weaved up for graduation, lol. We had a little make up party...Here are a few pix!

Are YOU a SURVIVOR??

Hello lovelies!!


Feeling so grateful today!!
While networking on Facebook, I was blessed to be contacted by a lovely lady who wanted a domestic violence awareness bracelet set that I made. But she let me know that she was a survivor and it was imperative that the set included a charm added stating so. So from this bracelet:

I created this and she loved it!

I am so blessed to be able to make jewelry that represents and motivates 

such inspiring women!

Another Custom Order!

Hello beautiful! Quick update on my latest project!


My future mother in law received a wooden cross from her pastor which he acquired on his trip to Jerusalem. She said as soon as she received the cross, she thought of me and asked if I can make a set for her. Flattered and humbled, I told her of course I could! Though I felt a little intimidated by the significance of the cross and such...but this is what I came up with:

I think it's pretty cute! I just love custom orders. :)

Fro-Licious Friday!

Hello all!


So I am trying to work on a blogging schedule. Haven't gotten everything together yet, but I know I want to do a Fro-licious friday post because my hair is so FRO-licious lol!


Anyway, earlier this week I did an olive oil, coconut oil, and honey deep conditioner (which my hair LOVED! YES!!) and then added some Nia's Serenity Hair Butter to my hair. I did about 10 twists, undid them and this is what we have:

Healthy Eating!

Hello blessed people!


I went grocery shopping the other day and I am continuously making it a point to buy more healthy and different foods. So here is a snapshot of a few picks...

Hidden in what looks like a veggie treasure hunt lol is spinach, romaine lettuce, green bell pepper, eggplant (totally new for me!), and tomatoes.

Cantaloupe, fresh garlic, and cucumbers

Yes, I now only eat lean ground beef and ground turkey. :-O

One day I hope to give up ground beef...

Not there yet though! lol

A friend told me to try chicken sausage. She said it is soooooo good. So we will see how it turns out!

Hello everyone! 
I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! Mine was busy busy lol! Took the little ones to see grandma. Turn around trip had me EXHAUSTED, lol! But I am so glad I did it! Love my family!

For The Sewing Lovers out there!

Hello everyone!!


I needed a quick and personalized gift for my fiancées mom who loves to sew and has needles everywhere so I figured, why not a pin cushion! But not just your regular tomato pin cushion. We all know about those! lol


Her favorite color is blue (I just found out lol) and she likes flowers so I wanted to incorporate the two! Well I came across so many pin cushions on Etsy but found a cute shop, HeyMiemie! She has such cute accessories and I couldn't decide on one! So I began to browse through her sold orders and saw this:

I thought ooo this is so cute but it would be great in blue! So I emailed her and asked if she would pleeeease take this out of retirement and make one for me...and guess what?! 

She did! Yay!
