3 Reasons to Talk to God Throughout Your Day

Blessings loves!

Sometimes in life we get so busy with the kiddos, hubby, our jobs, and serving others that we forget to talk to God and pray. We get home exhausted, fall into the bed and fall asleep. Only to wake up and do it all over again. WHEW! However, when we fail to pray we are missing out on so many blessings in our life. Why? Because God has the answers to the troubles that you face everyday.

How do you get the solutions? Pray! Talk to God constantly. I talk to God all through the day. He is my BFF and will never leave me. What better friend is there!? If you can text and call our girlfriends, you can surely make time for God. He is waiting to hear from you. In my previous post, 3 Reasons Your Prayer Life is on Empty, I share why you may be lacking in your prayer life.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. -1 Thess 5:16-18

Here are 3 reasons to be in constant prayer!

1. To stay connected to God and hear His instruction. When you are dealing with trials in your life, pray and ask God what He would like you to do. Whether it is watching your mouth or witnessing to someone. Ask Him for guidance.

2. To let God know your wants and needs. Throughout your day, let God know what you want or need. Nothing is too small, just make sure it lines up with His will.

3. You may not remember later. Sometimes we say, oh I will pray about it later. I don't know about you, but I have so much going on that I may forget my prayer request 5 minutes later!

Are you talking to God throughout the day?

3 Lies the Devil Tells Us about Our Purpose

Blessings loves!

As Christian we are all created with a divine purpose to serve God's kingdom. Yet, the devil does not want us to believe such. He uses sneaky tactics to convince us otherwise even though the bible clearly says that God has a plan for all of us.

The devil would have you believe you don’t have a purpose by starting early in your life planting thoughts into your mind. It may have been your family or 'friends' telling you not to live your purpose because it is outside of the family tradition, it is unstable, or it doesn't make since to them. These thoughts are told to you so much that they become your truth. Well, just because someone can't see God's vision for you doesn't mean that He won't fulfill it in you!

Some of us spend our whole life living in fear because we really don’t believe in our purpose. We don’t truly believe in ourselves or in God. Let's address some of those lies!

1. *We don’t have a divine purpose.

The devil would have you live like a majority of the world and work for someone else in an unfulfilling job with no more meaning than to make money. But we are call not to conform, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds! Know that you have a purpose!

1 Peter 4:10 says: As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.

So we have all received a gift (or gifts) to serve each other. No matter what anyone tells you, believe God over what others have to say! You have a purpose here on earth!

2. *We aren’t good enough.

The devil will have our family members, people we hang around, or are in relationships with tell us that we aren't good enough. Well, guess what!? You are more than enough!

Ephesians 2:10 says: For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Do you know what a masterpiece is? Masterpiece: a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship. An artist's or craftsman's best piece of work.

That means you are God's BEST WORK! Think about that! Isn't that amazing!?

3. *We are too busy.

The devil will keep us busy taking care of things and people that are not related to our purpose. We are busy serving our children, husband, bosses...but what about God?

Psalm 46:10 says: He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

In order to live your purpose, you have to take time to get to know God and what He wants from you. So it is time to prioritize your purpose and your faith!

Take time for God everyday!

How are you combatting the devil's lies and living your purpose today?

Our lives are full of supposes. Suppose this should happen, or suppose that should happen; what could we do; how could we bear it? - Hannah Whitall Smith

"Beloved, I say, let your fears go, lest they make you fainthearted. Stop inspiring fear in those around you and now take your stand in faith. Let us be strong and of good courage, for the Lord will fight for us if we stand in faith." - Francis Frangipane

"The worst evils of life are those which do not exist except in our imagination. If we had no troubles but real troubles, we should not have a tenth part of our present sorrows. We feel a thousand deaths in fearing one, but the (the Christian) cured of the disease of fearing."

When Fear Becomes Too Much

Blessings loves!

During the course of our life in our walk of faith, we find ourselves dealing with different types of fears. Whether it be fear of being hurt, fear of change, fear of rejection, or fear of failure. Sometimes we focus on it so much that it becomes overwhelming. Or we tried to deny it but they're feeling keeps calling us and telling us that God has called us to step out in faith.

This overwhelm can lead to health issues, stress, anxiety, and much more. Have you ever felt that way? I have. God doesn't want us living in a state of fear. In my course, I show you how to overcome those fears and step out in faith. Below are some steps you can take right now when your fears become too much!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:27

1. Pray - Pray and ask God to help you to overcome your fears. Ask Him for a peace that surpasses all understanding during the times that you feel most afraid.

2. Meditate on His word - Search for scriptures that will help you overcome the fears that you are dealing with in your life. Meditate on them. Write them down and print them out if you need to.

3. Remember God has already conquered the world - Whatever fear you are dealing with, God has already conquered it over and over again! Trust that He will do the same for you.

4. Claim Victory- Whatever you have fear in your heart about, claim the opposite. If you fear failure, claim success!

How are you conquering the fear overwhelm today?

3 Reasons Your Prayer Life Is On Empty.

Blessings loves!

Have you ever found yourself thinking that you need to get closer to God? Knowing that you are missing out on blessings because you just really have been neglecting your relationship with your heavenly father?

This can happen when we don't pray. There can be all kinds of reasons. We are too busy, haven't made it a priority, or just don't feel it is needed.

Well, as Christians the bible says many times that we need to pray. Why haven't you been praying lately? Think about it. Here are a few reasons.

1. You don’t trust God & you think you can do things on your own.

Some of us don't want to admit it, but we are wanting to do things our way so we just don't talk to God about it. We do what we want to do instead of seeking God's will by praying and doing His what He says.

2. You don’t think God hears you.

God hears you. He hears your every thought. He is waiting for you to come to Him and talk to Him just like you would your best friend. He is the ultimate BFF. Tell Him what is going on with you, good and bad.

3. You don’t think your requests are important.

Your every request is important to God. Often we don't think about things in a spiritual aspect so we don't pray about them. But we are Christians 24/7 so we should go to God with all of our issues.

Is your prayer life on track? Let us know how you are staying consistent!
