God grant me the
serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day
at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Are you living a Serenity Prayer lifestyle? Are you truly trusting in God to help you to accept what you cannot change, give you courage to change what you can and to show you the difference? Sometimes in life for me this can be VERY difficult! I worry, am afraid, and wonder if I know what in the world I am doing here! Lol!
I love the rest of the serenity prayer that talks about enjoying each moment and accepting hardships as the path to peace. How many of us actually do this? It is something I am learning to remind myself to do each day. In the midst of the storm, I say to myself this will bring healing and peace. I say it over and over until I begin to feel calm.
What about you? What are you doing to live a Serenity Prayer lifestyle?
