Easy Peasy Healthy Treat! Almond Yogurt Parfait Recipe

Blessings loves!

I love creating yummy treats for my little ones that are healthy! For today's recipe, I created a yogurt parfait and the kids LOVED it! I am lactose intolerant, so I used almond yogurt instead of diary yogurt and it tasted great! See how you can make your own!

*Almond yogurt (whichever flavor you like, I used vanilla)
*Granola (I get french vanilla granola in the bulk section at HEB)
*Fruit (I chose organic blueberries & strawberries because my children love them!)

First, put your yogurt in a bowl.
Next, sprinkle the granola on top.
Slice your strawberries and place them in the bowl and then the blueberries in the middle.
Easy right!?

My Family Christian Product Haul!

Blessings loves! I visited Family Christian for the first time to check out some of their sales on Christian gifts and books! Anyone who follows me on Facebook or Instagram knows that I love visual reminders of my walk of faith! They had some great $5 sales and 30% off already reduced clearance items as well! Though I had a bit of a problem with my gift certificate,
I got some great inspirational goodies! Check them out!

Let's start first with the cups!

I was super excited to get the Phil. 4:13 mug because that is my favorite scripture! I think the Hope piece is a flower pot but I will be using it to drink my hot tea yum! I also thought the

I got Mandisa's cd Overcomer because she is so inspirational and I LOVE her voice! Can't wait to jam this one! I also have Jesus Calling and have wanted to get Jesus Calling for little ones to read to my children for some time! My 5 year old son will probably read it to me lol! Additionally, I saw the Too Blessed to be Stressed devotional journal while searching on amazon yesterday and when I saw it at the store, I had to grab it!

I also picked up some scripture bookmarks to send to my inspirational jewelry customers and a few scripture cards as well.

I took them all home in my Isaiah 62:3 scripture bag which I LOVE!!!
I wanted to get about 5 of these lol!

4th of July Fun and Why it is Important to Relax!!!

Normally on the 4th of July we stay in or go and visit my husband's side of the family. This year, a few weeks before the 4th, my good friend stopped by and said she was going to Lake Conroe and we should come join in the fun! Not liking change but being an Aquarius and loving being by the water, this seemed like a great opportunity. So Saturday morning, we headed out! I did not regret it! I had so much fun it was such a blessing! Here are a few snapshots!

My son, daughter, and I!

True friendship! Priceless! Known this girl since my PV college days 17 years ago! Whew!
It was great to catch up with her again!

My feet in the sand and water! I missed this!!

My twin's enjoying playing in the water! Nothing like seeing joy on your children's faces!

My sleepy cutie love resting on momma's legs.

Of course I had to get a shot of my arm swag for the day!

It is SO important for us to take time out to do things that we love! Take some time and enjoy the beautiful nature all around us! Spend time with those who mean so much to us and accept us for who we are! Don't get caught up in the day to day so much so that you forget about Y-O-U!
No excuses!!

What have you done to relax lately?

5 Money Saving Fashion Tips!

For a while I have been watching thrifting fashionistas do video hauls showing how they have saved money on clothing by thrift shopping! Getting clothes for low prices! Being a mom, I am always looking for a good deal whether it is thrifting or getting deals on clearance lol! We moms need to save where we can! A few weeks ago I bought four pair of jeans, 3 pair of shorts, and 1 skirt for my daughter for $2.00 at a garage sale! I was like thank ya Jesus! lol

Since I make inspirational jewelry, I am always on the look out for faith based fashion and I love butterflies because they are beautiful and remind me of Romans 12:2. When I was leaving Target a few days ago, I saw that Dotz was having a store closing sale. When I went in it was the last day so of course they didn't have much left. Then I saw these butterfly heels...OMGoodness! I had to get them!

Here are 5 ways to save when shopping for fashion!

1. Shop at your neighborhood garage sales! Many neighborhoods have seasonal garage sales or moving sales!

2. Sign up for newsletters to receive coupons and deals from your favorite stores! Many times if the store is having a sale, you can use your coupon too! Double savings! Some stores even have text alerts!

3. Shop at local resale shops in your area. Check out their deals as well! Savings on top of savings!

4. Be on the lookout for store closing sales, local and online! These are the best!

5. Google coupons before you make an online purchase. Retail Me Not and Groupon are some great sites to check out!

My Story of How I became an Inspirational Jewelry Designer!

In my last post Why I Love Working with Women of God, I wrote about how as a Christian Jewelry Designer I love connecting with fellow women of faith! Today is my second post for Alex Beadon's 7 Day Blogging Challenge and I would like to show you a bit more behind the scenes of what it has been like to be an entrepreneur. You can find a video intro that I did several years ago Here. I definitely need to do an updated one!

About 5 years ago after the birth of my twin babies, I was in what I call the mommy zombie mode. Nursing, changing diapers, feeding, sleeping and repeat. I had recently lost my job and started to feel a void in my life. So I asked God, please show me what you want me to do with my life. I needed a purpose for ME. So one day I was browsing on etsy and say some beautiful gifts. I thought to myself, I love jewelry! Why don't I make some that is unique...not just unique, but inspirational! So I started making a few pieces and my friends told me that they liked my jewelry and I should sell it. From there ChariT's Inspirational Creations was born!

It has been a challenge now having 4 children, being a wife, and working at home. I think things will get a bit easier since the twins are 5 years old now and starting school in the fall. But I am still working on my time management skills. Knowledge does not equal success, action does. A lot of things that I have heard through trainings I am just now starting to put into practice and it has helped so much! Things like creating a process for everything I do like writing a blog and promoting it, launching new jewelry pieces ect.

Some of the lessons that I have learned is that if God puts the vision in you, He will provide a way! Worrying isn't anything but a waste of energy! God has your back and front! {TWEET this}

Don't compare yourself to others. Well, not to a point where you start to feel bad about where you are in your process. You don't know their story or how hard it has been for them. So focus on your business and keep it moving!

And....learn to delegate!
I, like many entrepreneurs wanted to do everything myself. I am still having a problem with this. Lol! I am a bit of a control freak at times. But I have learned that there are things that I love to do and things I don't. The things that I don't love to do, I need to delegate to someone who loves to do those things. I am blocking my blessing and their blessing by trying to do it myself. Plus, they would do a much better job! I am praying for financial growth and trust in others so that I can hire a team for my business soon!

How did you become an entrepreneur?
What lessons have you learned along the way?
