4 Ways to Discover Your God Given Purpose!

Have you ever wondered what is the purpose of your life? God has created us all for a reason and with a unique purpose. Here are a few ways to find out what that purpose is!

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. -1 Peter 4:10 [TWEET THIS

1. Pay attention to what inspires you. What are you passionate about? What excites you and makes you feel joy? This is a clue towards your purpose.

2. Write down your gifts. God has blessed us all with unique gifts to use to serve Him. What things are you good at and what do you enjoy doing? I love to inspire others, dance, sing, write, and create. Can't think of any? Ask your friends and family what do they think your gifts are? They may know you better than you think they do!

3. Pray. Ask God to reveal His purpose to you. Ask Him to show you what your gifts are and how to use them for His will. Be patient, it may be revealed over time and not immediately.

4. Study the bible. You may find people in the bible that you can connect with and have similar gifts as you do. A wonderful inspiration and way to get into the word!

How are you discovering God's purpose in your life today?

Marriage Prayer: Circle of Friends

As a wife I have learned that a man's circle of friends show a lot about him and also influence his decisions and actions inside and outside of marriage. This is the prayer for today:

Are you praying for your husband's circle of friends? You should! I am! [Tweet this]

3 Ways God is Making a New Thing in You!

Springtime reminds me of flowers in bloom and beautiful butterflies! These beauties of nature remind me of renewal and growth! God is constantly renewing us and helping us grow into our best selves! I am constantly becoming a better wife, mother, business woman, and woman of God!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. -Isaiah 43:19

He is strengthening you. Each trial we grow through, yes grow through, strengthens us and teaches us how to handle similar situations the next time. It also gives us the knowledge to help others who may go through something similar in the future.

He is blessing you. Each blessing that God gives is us an opportunity for us to thank God and grow in our closeness with Him. It also allows us to be a blessing to others by blessing them as we have been blessed!

He is preparing you to do His will. During the process of going through your trials and being blessed, God is preparing you to do His will. He is showing you your unique strengths, weaknesses, and talents. He is going to use each of these to show you how to love others and create disciples for Christ!

How is God creating a new thing in you today?

6 Inspirational Scriptures about Forgiveness

In my previous post, The Importance of Forgiveness, I touched on the importance of forgiveness in our lives! Sometimes we hold onto hurt because our pride won't let us let go. But we must! We have to let go and learn to move on. That is what God wants for us! God forgives us continuously so we should strive to forgive others as well.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. -Mark 11:25

Forgive others so that God may forgive us! Simple huh? Yeah, I know it isn't that easy but we definitely don't deserve God's forgiveness if we don't forgive others.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9

Isn't it wonderful that we can humble ourselves before God, tell Him our sins, and He will forgive us? What a blessing!

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
-Isaiah 1:18

God forgives us time and time again and our sins are forgiven. They are washed white as snow!

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
-Ephesians 4:32

Let us remember to love one another as Christ loves us and forgives us. For people will remember us by our love.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -2 Chronicles 7:14

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. -Psalms 86:5

Can I get an Amen!??

Endometriosis Awareness: Women's Invisible Illness

Because they are dear to my heart, each month I will be highlighting a cause. March is Endometriosis awareness month and I want to share some info about it with you. I learned about this illness about 2 years ago which inspired me to add this cause to my jewelry line. The women who have this illness are Warriors! See why below!

Endometriosis is a disease of the female reproductive system that affects approximately 1 in 10 women worldwide. Endometriosis occurs when the endometrial cells, or uterine lining cells, exist outside of the uterus. They can be found on the outside of the uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries, or on surrounding organs in the abdomen such as the intestines, bladder or rectum. Each month, the endometrial cells act as they should, by swelling and thickening, then bleeding. However, since they are outside of the uterus, this leads to endometrial lesions, which worsen over time and can cause severe pain. Learn more here

The exact cause is not known, however if a mother has it, it is 5 to 7 times more likely that her daughter will have it.

The most common symptoms of endometriosis are pelvic pain and infertility. For many women, the pain of endometriosis can be so severe and debilitating that it impacts her life so that she may not be able to carry out day to day activities.

There is no cure however, there are several options for managing the symptoms of endometriosis, including:
*Hormonal birth control
*Other hormonal therapies
*Diet/exercise
*Alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, massage, or homeopathic remedies
*Surgery

Visit your doctor as soon possible if you are experiencing any symptoms.

Celebrities who have endometriosis include Jillian Michaels, Whoopi Goldberg, Tia Mowry-Hardict, Dolly Pardon, and Marilyn Monroe.

Do you know someone who has been affected by endometriosis?
