4 Ways to Overcome Fear with Faith!

Blessings loves!

Have you ever felt fear of something so much so that it paralyzed you? Afraid of rejection, letting someone down, being alone...the list goes on. Did it stop you from stepping out in faith and instead you continued to live in fear? I know I have!

These fears are a distraction and God doesn't want us living in fear. He calls us to walk by faith! Today I am sharing a few ways to overcome your fears by strengthening your faith.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. -2 Corinthians 5:7

1. Pray
Pray and ask God to show you how to overcome your fears. When you feel afraid, talk to Him at that moment to help you conquer your fear. No excuses! Your constant communication with God will help tremendously!

2. Study Scriptures
Read scriptures of people who have gone through things similar to what you are going through. Read inspirational scriptures that will reverse your mindset from one of fear to one of faith.

3. Faith Affirmations
Repeat positive affirmations through the day to combat your fears. Post them in you home, office, even in your car if need be!

4. Take Action
When you prayed in the first step to ask God to show you how to overcome your fears, get ready to work! You are going to have to change your mindset, change your actions, maybe even change your circle!

How are you overcoming fear with faith? Share with us below!

My Awesome Experience at Abundance LIVE with Lisa Nichols!

Blessings loves!

Have you ever wanted to do something inspiring? Want to just be in the room with someone who is where you want to be in life? Lisa Nichols is one of those people! She is an AWESOME inspirational speaker! She is also so giving, inspiring, and knowledgable. I love how transparent she is about her humble beginnings and how she has come to be successful.

She had a promotion where if you purchased her book, Abundance NOW (mentioned here), you could go to her live event for free. I was like Whhhhhhaaatttt!? I was nervous but excited at the same time. After talking to my hubby, I decided to go!

Atlanta was closest to me being in Texas so I booked my plane ticket! I hadn't flown in years! When the day came, I was sitting on the plane thinking I can't believe I am doing this. I can't believe it! God is so good!

When I got there, I saw a friend of mine from Prairie View A&M University.
It was so good to see her!

On our chairs were some welcoming gifts (minus my purple journal).

Love that clapper! Lol!

When I say the energy was was LIVE! Check out this short clip from the event!

Here is a clip of Lisa speaking!

Here is Coach Sean Smith speaking truth about abundance!

At the last minute, I signed up for the mastermind on the next day which was much more intimate and amazing!

SO MANY nuggets (as Lisa likes to say) that I took home and am applying to my business and personal life. This was an experience like NO OTHER!

How are you living in abundance?
Have you attended one of Lisa's events online or in person?

1 Saying That is Sabotaging Your Walk of Faith!

Blessings loves!

Have you ever heard someone use a phrase that is negative and keeps them in a negative mindset? They say it over and over again and you are like UGH! Stop saying that! Lol!

Has that person ever been you? I raise my hand to that one! Lol! (Shame, I know. Lol) When we say negative or limiting things, it affects our actions in a not so good way. They cripple us in all areas of our life, including our faith!

1 saying that is sabotaging our walk of faith is...
God knows my heart.

People sometimes use this as an excuse to do what they know they should but have convinced themselves that they will get a 'pass' because they are saved or a 'good person'.

5 Awesome Books About Living Your Purpose!

Blessings loves!

I remember in my younger days, cuddling up in my bed and staying up late at night reading books. I LOVED to read! My mom said I was her only child who liked to read. Well, I admit it. I was a book addict! I loved losing myself in the world of the characters in any particular book. Can you relate?!

Motherhood got me a little off track, but I am getting back into reading. One great way to be successful is to read! Since writing my first book Living Your God Inspired Purpose, I have begun to read more and more. I love reading inspirational and Christian personal development books! They give me different perspectives that I never thought of before!

The first book is a book I have been wanting to read for a LONG TIME! Lol!

1. Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

The most basic question everyone faces in life is Why am I here? What is my purpose? Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, but Rick Warren says the starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God's purposes for putting us on earth.

I love the points to ponder, verses to remember, and questions to consider about our purpose at the end of each chapter!

2. I Dare You by Joyce Meyer

Joyce Meyer explains that a life without purpose is a life not worth living. We all need a reason to get up everyday. We all need to reach for something beyond ourselves.

In this book, Joyce dives deep into the reason that God created us. She shares scripture references and thought provoking quotes about embracing our life with joy. She also asks questions about those things in our life that aren't helping us that we may need to let go of.

3. Change Your Language Change Your Life by Jotina Buck

This book focuses on how to change your language, recognize and declare divine promises, foster life-enhancing habits, and make an agreement with yourself to enrich your life by following through on what you say you want to do or accomplish.

I have had the pleasure to hear Ms. Buck speak live and meet her in person. She is a rock star teacher and moving inspirational speaker! I love that at the end of each chapter of her book she gives exercises for us to complete and provides space for us to write out our answers. A book + journal in one! Check out our photo HERE.

4. Abundance Now by Lisa Nichols

In this book, Lisa Nichols shares her journey from scarcity to abundance, outlining steps everyone can take to create abundance in career, relationships, self, and finances—while creating a legacy for others to follow.

I love how transparent Lisa is in this book! She focuses on having abundant thinking from a wholistic perspective. I love this because I am seeking to live God's purpose for me in all areas of my life (marriage, parenting, my business, ect.)

5. Think and Grow Rich A Black Choice by Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill

Author and entrepreneur Dennis Kimbro combines bestselling author Napolean Hilll's law of success with his own vast knowledge of business, contemporary affairs, and the vibrant culture of Black America to teach you the secrets to success used by scores of black Americans, including: Spike Lee, Jesse Jackson, Dr. Selma Burke, Oprah Winfrey, and many others

I love, love, love the stories of struggle and triumph that are shared in this book. I am in awe of some of the stories of perseverance! It also humbles me and reminds me that what I am going through can be overcome! This book reminds us that our mindset and the unwillingness to give up is the key to our success!

9 Inspiring Scriptures and Quotes about Jesus' Resurrection!

Blessings loves!

I remember growing up as a little girl and hearing about Christ dying and then living again. Seeing the movies like the Ten Commandments and The Passion of seemed so surreal and self sacrificing that He would die for us. Today I am sharing with you some scriptures and quotes that really mean a lot to me and describe Jesus' resurrection! Enjoy!

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. -Romans 10:9

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. -Romans 8:11

I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? -John 11:25-26

...just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” -Romans 6:4 {TWEET THIS}

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words. -Luke 24:6-8 {TWEET THIS}

“The cross is the victory, the resurrection is the triumph…The resurrection is the public display of the victory, the triumph of the crucified one.” -Leon Morris {TWEET THIS}

“The Gospels do not explain the Resurrection; the Resurrection explains the Gospels. Belief in the Resurrection is not an appendage to the Christian faith; it is the Christian faith.” -John S. Whale

The primary source of the appeal of Christianity is Jesus – His incarnation, His life, His crucifixion, and His resurrection.” -K. Latourette

The resurrection of Jesus changes the face of death for all His people. Death is no longer a prison, but a passage into God’s presence. Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won’t stay there.” -Clarence W. Hall
