28 Quotes to Help You Overcome Fear with Faith

Blessings loves!

On this Christian journey, we often encounter fear. Fears that can paralyze us and stop us from fully living our God inspired purpose and walking in faith. We sometimes walk around feeling afraid and playing a game of avoidance when we really should face our fears. Why because God has our back! I want you to know right now that you can overcome those fears!

In my previous blog post, When Fear Becomes Too Much, I share 4 things that you can do when fear begins to become overwhelming. I cover this more in depth in my ecourse Rock Your Faith Like a Boss. One thing I would like to add to that is mediating on uplifting quotes! Sometimes you read a quote and it hits you just right. It makes you feel motivated and like you are ready to take on anything! I have collected 28 of these for you. Enjoy and share the inspiration!

Our lives are full of supposes. Suppose this should happen, or suppose that should happen; what could we do; how could we bear it? We shall be quiet from the fear of evil, for no threatenings of evil can penetrate into the high tower of God."
- Hannah Whitall Smith

"Beloved, I say, let your fears go, lest they make you fainthearted. Stop inspiring fear in those around you and now take your stand in faith. Let us be strong and of good courage, for the Lord will fight for us if we stand in faith." - Francis Frangipane

"The worst evils of life are those which do not exist except in our imagination. If we had no troubles but real troubles, we should not have a tenth part of our present sorrows. We feel a thousand deaths in fearing one, but the (the Christian) cured of the disease of fearing."

When Fear Becomes Too Much

Blessings loves!

During the course of our life in our walk of faith, we find ourselves dealing with different types of fears. Whether it be fear of being hurt, fear of change, fear of rejection, or fear of failure. Sometimes we focus on it so much that it becomes overwhelming. Or we tried to deny it but they're feeling keeps calling us and telling us that God has called us to step out in faith.

This overwhelm can lead to health issues, stress, anxiety, and much more. Have you ever felt that way? I have. God doesn't want us living in a state of fear. In my course, I show you how to overcome those fears and step out in faith. Below are some steps you can take right now when your fears become too much!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:27

1. Pray - Pray and ask God to help you to overcome your fears. Ask Him for a peace that surpasses all understanding during the times that you feel most afraid.

2. Meditate on His word - Search for scriptures that will help you overcome the fears that you are dealing with in your life. Meditate on them. Write them down and print them out if you need to.

3. Remember God has already conquered the world - Whatever fear you are dealing with, God has already conquered it over and over again! Trust that He will do the same for you.

4. Claim Victory- Whatever you have fear in your heart about, claim the opposite. If you fear failure, claim success!

How are you conquering the fear overwhelm today?

3 Reasons Your Prayer Life Is On Empty.

Blessings loves!

Have you ever found yourself thinking that you need to get closer to God? Knowing that you are missing out on blessings because you just really have been neglecting your relationship with your heavenly father?

This can happen when we don't pray. There can be all kinds of reasons. We are too busy, haven't made it a priority, or just don't feel it is needed.

Well, as Christians the bible says many times that we need to pray. Why haven't you been praying lately? Think about it. Here are a few reasons.

1. You don’t trust God & you think you can do things on your own.

Some of us don't want to admit it, but we are wanting to do things our way so we just don't talk to God about it. We do what we want to do instead of seeking God's will by praying and doing His what He says.

2. You don’t think God hears you.

God hears you. He hears your every thought. He is waiting for you to come to Him and talk to Him just like you would your best friend. He is the ultimate BFF. Tell Him what is going on with you, good and bad.

3. You don’t think your requests are important.

Your every request is important to God. Often we don't think about things in a spiritual aspect so we don't pray about them. But we are Christians 24/7 so we should go to God with all of our issues.

Is your prayer life on track? Let us know how you are staying consistent!

3 Ways to Live by Faith During Trying Times

Blessings loves!

With the recent shootings in Minnesota, Baton Rouge, and Dallas Texas, have you found yourself getting caught up in all the news? I have and it really started to affect me in a negative way. I started to feel the spirit of fear and the spirit of anger. As a beautiful brown skinned woman, mom, and wife I have seen somethings that have really bothered me down to my core. So much hatred and denial of the real issues. I would say it is unreal but it is not and has been going on for years, decades even.

I started to feel like my foundation was shaken until I reminded myself of who my foundation really is, GOD. I also reminded myself that God does not want me to get sucked up into the negativity of this all. So I began to look within and figure out what I need to do to get my spirit back to it's rightful state.

1. Be SERIOUS about having a spirit of peace.

Stop watching, reading, listening to ANYTHING that is a threat to having a peaceful spirit. I am NOT saying ignore the issues or not to stay informed. But don't get engrossed in it.

I found an app to delete my Facebook newsfeed because I kept reading the statuses and becoming more and more angry. So I decided for my peace of mind and spirit that I did not need to see my newsfeed. And I encourage you to do the same if need be.

If you need to fast from social media, stop watching the news all day, or stop talking to friends who are speaking negatively and get you angry about the situation over and over. Do that. You can check in once a day to stay informed, but don't let it suck you in.

2. Pray and ask God what is your purpose during this time.

As Christians we get criticized sometimes because people say when things like this happen all we do is pray and we don't do anything. Now as a Christian I know that one of the greatest things we can do is to pray but we should also take action. So pray and ask God how can you help others during these times of tragedy.

Even if you do not personally know what these people are going through ask God to soften your heart and to show you who you can help in this time of need.

Remember, faith without works is dead. -James 2:14-26

3. Pray for those who are committing the violence ect.

Our automatic response is to pray for the victims and their family, friends ect. Which we should do! We also need to pray for those who have hate and so much fear in their hearts. These people are raising children to think the same ect. We need to pray that God will open their eyes and soften there hearts. A lot of people hate because they don't understand or fear someone or something. So we really really need to be in prayer for them. That they will encounter someone or something that will change their mindset into a mindset of love.

How are you living my faith during these tragic times? Share with us!

3 Steps to ForgiveThose Who Have Hurt You

Blessings loves!

Has someone ever done something to you and it hurt so bad that you just didn't want to forgive, as a matter of fact, you vowed to never forgive them? Holding onto that hurt poisons us spiritually and mentally. I know, I have been there. In the scriptures we are called to forgive one another. After all, we need God's forgiveness too.

Matt. 6: 14-15 says For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. So let's start the journey to forgiveness today. Below are 3 steps to get you started!

1. Be willing to forgive.
In order to forgive someone, you have to be willing. Open your heart and be willing to forgive and let go of whatever they did to you.

2. Realize we all need forgiveness and are forgiveness everyday.
We sin everyday and God forgives us. Who are we not to forgive?

3. Accept that the past cannot be changed.
It has already happened and no matter what, the past will not be any different.

When I read the following quote by Oprah, it really opened my eyes to what forgiveness is about.

Who do you need to forgive today?

8 Prayer Hacks for Busy Women!

Blessings loves!

As Christian women our relationship with God should be on the top of our list of priorities. I remember a time when I didn't talk to Him much, doing things my way and my life was a M-E-S-S! Have you ever been in that place in your life? I have begun to make prayer an important role in my life and it has changed my mindset and my life tremendously!

In my previous post 4 Fear Banishing Prayers I gave some short and sweet prayers to help overcome fear. I know a lot of us our busy women or moms and have somehow put prayer on the back burner. Today I wanted to share with you a few hacks for Christian women that will help you remember to talk to God throughout the day!

1. Pray your favorite scriptures. Write them down and refer to them throughout the day.
2. Pray when you are in line at the grocery store. Instead of complaining, praise God and thank Him for all he has done for you today.
3. When you are waiting to pick of your children, husband, mom, or friend.
4. When you are sitting in traffic. Instead of displaying road rage, pray for grace and give thanks.
5. Set a reminder on your phone to pray.
6. Write down your prayers to come back later. Buy or create a prayer journal.
7. When you feel frustrated during the day, pray! Make this your first response! It will help so much!
8. Pray before you go to sleep. This is great for busy moms! Sometimes we wake up and are instantly on the move so pray before you close your eyes to sleep.

What is your favorite way to pray during your busy day?
